Withdraw Bharat Ratna from Rajiv Gandhi: Sirsa

New Delhi, May 9 (IANS): Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Thursday said that keeping in view the findings of the Nanavati Commission, the government should withdraw Bharat Ratna from Rajiv Gandhi.

The Nanavati Commission found out that instructions to kill Sikhs after the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi came from her successor Rajiv Gandhi's office, a statement from Sirsa read.

"Indira Gandhi was assassinated on October 31 but no violence took place that day and very next day on November 1. But after Rajiv Gandhi took oath as Prime Minister he ordered his loyal workers Sajjan Kumar, H.K.L. Bhagat, Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath and others to avenge the killing of his mother," Sirsa said.

He said the government should withdraw Bharat Ratna from Rajiv Gandhi. The DSGMC President said a person who organises genocide cannot hold a Bharat Ratna.

Sirsa also accused then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi of threatening the police and judiciary in public speeches to keep them off the culprits.

Every one talks about his 'side' as very important. People do not care about rule of law. All should think. If 1984 is a genocide, 2002 is also a genocide. So many genocides happened in this country since 1947. Has any politician been punished? All have enjoyed their power and lived happily without concern for others. 1984 is also one such sad incident in this country.

Sardarjee, if 1984 was a genocide, then what about 2002?
Both side the poor innocent people had to sacrifice their lives.
Difference between the above two cases, there is no proof of Rajiv Gandhi had taken revenge. But in the second case, complete evidence points a single person.
