BJP woman activist held for sharing Mamata's morphed picture

Kolkata, May 11 (IANS): A BJP woman leader was arrested in West Bengal's Howrah district for allegedly sharing morphed picture of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on social media, police said on Friday.

"Priyanka Sharma has been arrested for sharing morphed picture of the CM," a police official said.

A complaint was lodged at Dasnagar Police station against Sharma, a BJP Yuva Morcha leader, accused of uploading and sharing Banerjee's morphed picture in her Facebook timeline and thereby violating community guidelines, an official of Howrah City police's Cyber Cell said.

In making meme of Banerjee, the accused allegedly used Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas's image at the MET Gala event. The theme for this year's MET Gala was 'Camp: Notes on Fashion'.

Priyanka had brought whimsy and animation to the pink carpet with a vibrant, yet unique Dior gown at the event which is an annual fundraiser.

    Idle mind is a devil's workshop.. Furthermore she hails from a party which has no morals, cheap mentality and exhorting the breed of youngsters to venture into the path of hatred and vengeance. This party is a useless piece of shit inciting hate amongst the ordinary citizens. No wonder its already predicted that it's going to lose this election very heavily and I fervently pray that it becomes a cherished dream-come-reality. The party and all the evil people should bite the dust. Even the party members swear that they have never seen such a gutter cheap mentality from it's higher-ups. One can't imagine how low these illiterate class of people will stoop to achieve their social vested interest.
