Mangaluru: Coast expected to get rain from May 12 for two days

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 11: The meteorological department, based on low pressure area that has been created over the Arabian Sea, has predicted normal rainfall at different places in coastal Karnataka for two days beginning Sunday May 12.

In the meanwhile, strong wind is blowing over the sea, which has contributed to the size of the waves hitting the shore since Thursday. The waves have gained further force on Friday, but none of the fishing boats returned to the shore. Tourist boats which take tourists to St Mary's Island however, suspended services since Friday afternoon. Water adventure sports could not be performed at Malpe. The fishermen said that it is normal for conditions in the sea to undergo volatile changes for a few days around full moon day, and therefore this situation may stay for four to five more days.

Yatish Bykampady, chief executive officer of Panambur Beach Development Corporation, informed that the tourists are being allowed into the sea and adventure games at the beach are performed after observing the prevailing conditions.

In the meantime, the meteorological department at Thiruvananthapuram has warned of the possibility of intensive sea erosion during the next 24 hours and advised fishermen against venturing into the sea.

    “Out come nothing”
    How you can say that.?
MET is close to the forecasts.
MET is precautioning the fishermen not to venture into sea.
One cannot be blind to these facts.

How I said is depending on the predictions by the met. Dept. Each and every time they warn fishermen. They don't take chance. Whatever predictions come in the papers too nothing has happened according to their assumptions.

Why are people forgetting, rain has to fall. not here or there but somewhere because science says not a drop of water will go to the OUTER WORLD.(MARS,JUPITER OR NEPTUNE). At my home there are many people from the Met. they everyday predict that there will be rain, and they are right BUT NO RAINFALL AT MY PLACE.

Richard, what you said is right. Rain should fall on this earth, somewhere here or there but not on Mars, sun or moon. For the last two months, how many times it was predicted that coast will get rain or showers etc etc.. But did it rain? Looking at the sky, clouds, breeze, atmosphere, depending on insects etc even old people of our area presume about the rain. That time it rains.. Because their knowledge with the nature, on the fields are vast. When we have meteorological department with modern techniques, what they predict should happen right? What's the meaning of your sentence they predict rain here and falls somewhere? Nobody predicted about orissa but cyclone hit there.. They said coastal lines of Karnataka, Kerala, tamilnadu.. Met. Dept presumes definitely with the help of science and equipments. Not like our experienced old grand parents. How the information by the dept gets failed everytime tell me?? This opinion is not only mine, but opinion of majority.

    Sandesh
All accused r out on bail. It is the Law and takes it own way and time. Unlike the ppl you mentioned UPA could not prove a si gle case against MODi from 2004 to 2014 and not once he applied for bail as there was no case at all.
But all the ppl now on bail will face the trial as and when their case Comes. If Govt takes more interest you ppl say political vendetta if no action say no proof. But here it is the bail given to them plays the crucial part. Let us wait for the judgement
