Militants shoot NC worker in Shopian district

Srinagar, May 14 (IANS): Militants shot and critically injured a National Conference (NC) worker on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, police said.

Police sources said militants fired at Sajad Ahmad, an NC worker in Chitragam Kalan village of Shopian district on Monday evening.

"He was shifted to a hospital in a critical condition. The area has been marked off for searches", a police source said.
