Mangaluru:  Shreemathi Shetty murder – Did culprits use machine to cut body?

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 15: In connection with the disdainful and macabre murder of Shreemathi Shetty, who operated a shop dealing in repair of electrical appliances, chopping off her body into pieces and disposing them off at different places in the city an inhuman manner, the police have taken four persons into custody. They are being subjected to   intensive interrogation, sources said.

The investigation teams assigned with the task of cracking this case have succeeded in pooling further information on Tuesday too. The police have treated this as a serious and unique crime, and have been putting together technical details of the murder. City police commissioner,  Sandeep Patil, said that about  30 personnel including police officers and subordinate staff are busy with this case.

On Tuesday, the police continued to search for further clues around the spot where the abandoned two-wheeler of Shreemathi Shetty was found at Nagori in the city. They also checked a well in the location for evidences or remains of the lady's body after they heard the rumour that the severed legs of the woman had been disposed off in a well near Nagori. Although the police conducted verification accompanied with sniffer dogs and fire brigade personnel, and pumped water of the well, a few plastic bags were found at the bottom of the well, but they did not seem to be having any link with the said murder.

Sources said that the police have not yet been able to locate the whereabouts of Shreemathi's cell phone. Recovery of cell phone would have helped the police in their investigation. Now they are making efforts to put together inward and outward calls made from this phone.

Murder and butchering of a human, which is very cruel act. No feelings, no sympathy and above no fear of law of land and above all fear of God.
