TMC is responsible for violence in West Bengal not BJP: Amit Shah

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, May 15: In a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, BJP president Amit Shah during a press conference here on Wednesday said that violence did not take place in 6 phases of Lok Sabha elections anywhere but the recent incident in West Bengal proves that the TMC is responsible for it.

BJP President also accused Trinamool Congress "goons" of vandalising the statue of social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar during his roadshow in Kolkata the previous day.

As per IANS source, addressing the media at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters, Shah said: "Six phases of the elections have been completed throughout the country but incidents of violence are happening only in West Bengal.

"(Chief Minister) Mamata Banerjee is alleging that the BJP is spreading violence in the state. She is contesting on only 42 seat but the BJP is contesting across the country. No incident of violence have been reported from anywhere except Bengal. This means Trinamool is responsible for the violence."

He said three attacks took place during his roadshow but the state police remained mere spectators.

He also accused Banerjee of conspiring to vandalise Vidyasagar's statue in an effort gain sympathy.

"The gate of the college was closed and the BJP workers were outside. Trinamool goons were pelting stones from inside. This was a conspiracy and drama by Mamata Banerjee to gain sympathy. Vandalising a statue for vote bank makes it clear that the Trinamool Congress is losing badly in this election.

"All these proves that Trinamool Congress goons vandalised the statue," he said.

Shah also claimed that he survived on Tuesday because of the CRPF's presence in Kolkata.

"It would have been difficult for me to come out unharmed if the CRPF was not there," he said showing photographs.

Most schoolchildren in the state have learned the Bengali alphabet from his ‘Borno Porichoy’ (Introduction to the alphabets), is still used as the introductory text to learn Bengali alphabets.
Vidyasagar: Why the 19th-century reformer is a holy cow for Bengal. Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar is a revered scholar and social reformer whose contribution towards education and empowerment of women in the country was remarkable
Ishwar Chandra was born on September 26, 1820, in West Bengal to impoverished Brahmin parents. He took part in a competition testing knowledge in Sanskrit in 1839 and earned the title of ‘Vidyasagar’, which translates to ‘Ocean of Knowledge’.
Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was vocal about the cause of widow remarriage and introduced the practice and pushed for the Widow Remarriage Act XV of 1856. He also reconstructed the Bengali alphabet and reformed Bengali typography into an alphabet of 12 vowels and 40 consonants.

The BJP and Amit Shah are thinking that they can repeat Tripura by knocking down the Lenin statue in West Bengal with Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar revered scholar and social reformer.

It is wake up call for Bengalis to reject the communal forces who wanted to expand its bases and repeat the success of Tripura in West Bengal.

BJP president Amit Shah wanted to repeat the success of 'Love Jihad' in West Bengal ever since he made 'Tadipar' to Uttar Pradesh.
The simplicity and popularity of 'Didi' in West Bengal made difficult for BJP to shun her like powerful Dravidian leader 'Amma' from Tamil Nadu.

So violence is the only means which left for BJP that directly benefits to make up the losses from the Hindi belt.

I have seen the videos of the attacks and if one watches the videos of the incident carefully then you will see two important things. One, Amit Shah was far away from the place of the actual incident and yet he is saying that he was attacked and was saved by the presence of the CRPF which is a big lie and simply a ploy to gain sympathy. The second lie is that in the videos you can clearly see that the attacks happened from outside with BJP supporters throwing of stones at the protesters inside, nothing seems to be seen coming from inside the campus. You can also see BJP supporters rushing inside the walls. This is the second lie. It is very clear that the BJP supporters started the fight and nobody else.

People of our country have realized who is playing games and spreading hatred among people of our country. Hindus are fighting against Hindus in the name of political parties and such hatred was never so deep rooted in the past. BJP is provoking, instigating and bring turmoil with in the community.
Always playing double games and that is BJP culture.
