New Delhi, May 15: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday May 15 tweeted a morphed picture to claim that the word 'Modilie' had been officially recognised as a word in the English language.
The word 'Modilie' has been used by Congress leaders and supporters for the past many years to accuse Prime Minister Narendra Modi of telling lies to the public.
On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi shared what seemed like a screenshot of 'Modilie' being added to the English dictionary. The screenshot showed the definition of the word as 'To constantly modify the truth; to lie incessantly and habitually; and to lie without respite'.
As per reports, Rahul Gandhi tweeted the post twice. His first tweet showed a purported screenshot of 'Oxford living dictionary', but a search on the Oxford living dictionary website brought up no such results.
Moreover, the logo of the 'dictionary' on Rahul's tweet appeared to be different from the one on the Oxford living dictionary website.
The IT cell of Congress which had tweeted the picture deleted it after a few minutes and shared a new picture, with the logo edited further, and this time, the word 'Oxford' was removed. The picture only mentioned 'English living dictionary', with examples of the word being used in sentences.
It is not clear if the Congress morphed the picture as a joke.
