Doha, May 26: M Pallonji emerged Division - I Champions of the 25th Gulf Incon – Metabo Ramadan Cricket Tournament 2019 defeating CCRC team by 8 wickets at old Ideal Indian School Floodlit ground.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Sajjad Ahmed Khan- senior manager Sales and Marketing, Metabo / Gulf Incon along with Rajkumar Selvarajan, Credit / Inventory controller, Ramesh Natarajan, deputy accounts manager and Vincent Vimaldas, product manager, Tools & Equipment were present. Guests of honour were Shahid Mehboob, QCA national coach appointed by Asian Cricket Council, Gul Khan, QCA Head of Domestic Cricket, Tahir Mehmood and Naseen, QCA official umpires and Qatar Veterans Cricket officials distributed the winners, runners-up trophies and over 250 prizes.
Special thanks was acknowledged to Adnan Al Mannai, managing director Gulf Incon and Marcel Cenia, general manager, Metabo Middle East and Prateek Yadav, Metabo business development manager.
On winning the toss, CCRC elected to bat first. CCRC openers gave a brisk start and scored quickly and ended the power play with 35 runs on the scoreboard losing a wicket. Muzzamil scored 19 runs with 2 6's in his mandatory 12 balls during the power play. CCRC lost 2 wickets in the 4thover bowled by Sadique of M Pallonji. This did not deter the CCRC batsman from scoring quickly. Ifzal played a scintillating knock and scored 44 runs in 17 balls with 6 towering 6's and one boundary. Due to his onslaught and contribution from Muzzamil and Abbas, CCRC set a challenging target of 133 runs to M Pallonji. For M Pallonji, Sadique and Alban took 2 wickets each giving away 17 runs and 22 runs respectively in their allotted 2 overs. Sahil took a wicket.
In reply, M Pallonji started slowly losing their opener Praveen in the 3rd over. Thereafter, M Pallonji accelerated and started scoring quickly at a fast pace. Sajeew, the other opener started the fireworks and scored 32 runs in 11 balls with help of 4 6's and one boundary. Sandesh and Rauf followed Sajeew by scoring 30 runs and 32 runs in 12 and 10 balls respectively. Between them they scored 8 6's and one boundary.
M Pallonji ended up chasing the target in the 11th over.
Mohsin, Nixon and Suraj took a wicket each for CCRC in a losing cause.
For his all-round performance, Rauf from M Pallonji was declared Man of the Finals.

Best All Rounder – Nishad of Hanan
Best Wicket Keeper – Neeraj of M. Pallonji
