Bahrain, Apr 27: Much awaited Anand Bazar or food festival organized by the conmmitee of Bahrain Kannada Sangha on April 24, 2009 for its members. A record number of items of different verities were displayed. Group chef of Future Hotel Management chief SENTHIC tested each and every items of Vegetarian, Non Vegetarian and Desert for the best of three places in each categories .
Sangha President Austin Santhosh welcomed all the members and their families and requested Abdul Ghafoor Eetic Managing Director of Meditech (Title sponsor for Vasanthostava 2009) and Lalitha S.Nayak mother of Vijaya Nayak to light the traditional lamp. After the inaugural show president requested all members and guests to participate the Anand Bazar festival. It was amazing to see 15 types of fish items were displayed and all the items were sold in just 20 Minutes.
The Mangalorean flavour items such as , Hamour Chille Lady fish , Mackeral fry, Pompret Fry , Bondas Chilly , Sardines Pulimunchi, Crab Sukka, Mangalore fish curry Etc. There were Chicken Items such as Kori Rotti, Ginger Chicken, Chicken Ghee roast, Chicken Sukka, Chicken Hydrabadi Biryani, Mutton Sukka, Macroni Special etc. Deserts Such as pudding Gulab Jamoon , Dry fruit Halwa Jackfruit cake ,Dumplings Sannas, Idlie Chutney, Holige, apple Kheer were sold out just in an one hour.
Members and children played some games organized by the committee members and at the end president gave away prizes to the winners.

President announced that on May 8, 2009,Vasanthosava day to be held at Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium at 7.00pm onwards and also announced that the Senior members will be felicitated on that day.
The Anand Bazar programe concluded at 10.30pm with vote of thanks by Doomanna Rai Entertainment secretary.
