“Muslims given their share in 1947” says BJP leader from Maharashtra

New Delhi, Jun 2: Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Maharashtra Madhav Bhandari ruffled feathers on Sunday when he said Muslims were given their share in 1947, a reference to partition of the country and formation of Pakistan on religious grounds.

Responding to chief of AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi's statement that Muslims are not tenants in India, Maharashtra BJP leader Madhav Bhandari said, " It would be good if Owaisi sahab speaks before due consideration. No one has called him a tenant, but if he talks about the share , it was given to them (Muslims) in 1947. Now the matter is over."

Owaisi was addressing a gathering in Hyderabad on Friday when he said that Muslims were not tenants in India and that they cannot be denied the rights guaranteed to them under the constitution." We have to keep India prosperous, we will keep India prosperous. We (Muslims) are equal residents and not tenants. We are equal stakeholders here," he added.

The MP from Hyderabad also said that Muslims need not worry after Modi's return to power at the centre as the constitution guarantees every citizen equal rights.

The conspiracy behind the partition is done by these Right wing people only. They knew If India remains one Muslim Population would be almost 50%, then the complete power will not remain with these people as it is now.

Those who wanted to take away their share have taken and gone long ago. Those who stayed back are still citizens of India.

Those Muslims who stayed back in India after the 1947 partition is 'true Indians' who have selected the country, not on the basis of religious compulsion of Jinnah's India or Savarkar Hindustan.
Their struggle started since the advent of British rule in India. In the annals of archives Qaiser-ul-Tawarikh mentioned that the number of Muslims executed only in Delhi during 1857-58 was 27,000, not to speak of those killed in the general massacre. This shows the great sacrifices they made for the emancipation of their country from British rule. In all the national uprisings from Sanyasi Movement to independence, the files of the Home Department are replete with their immense sacrifices that finally led to the withdrawal of British from India in 1947.
What is more surprising is the fact that the role and contribution of Muslim women in the war of independence and the subsequent movement have been totally ignored by historians. Along with their counterparts, they fought gallantly and suffered heavily. In the revolt of 1857 Asghari Begum (mother of Qazi Abdur Rahim, the revolutionary of Thana Bhawan, Muzaffarnagar) fought the British and was burnt alive when defeated. Similarly, Habiba and Rahimi who obstructed the advance of English forces were caught and hanged. It is estimated that about 225 Muslim women gave their lives in the revolt.
The BJP leader Mr.Madhav Bhandari and Owisis both need to read the history of India before making such statements.
If Muslims has given a due share of Muslims, why 'Akhanda Bharath' map of RSS is still showing Pakistan?
