Al Jubail, Apr 28: The thirteenth annual gathering of the Jubail Unit of Dakshina Karanataka Sunni Centre (DKSC) was held on Friday, April 24. The gathering was held at the newly opened luxurious Cookxon Hotel in Al- Jubail. The activists of Sunni Centre from Jubail and Dammam units had gathered in good number to make it a successful one. The function began with the ‘Dua’ by respected Dhayee of Jubail Sunni Yuvajana Sangha, Ibrahim Saqafi. Ismail Katipalla recited Qur’an and Qamarudeen Goodinabali Welcomed the gathering.
 
Zakariya Anabeeb, businessman and philanthropist, was the chief guest. Delivering the keynote address, Zakariya Anabeeb urged the activists of Sunni Centre to work steadfastly without getting detracted by the dissidents. He expressed happiness for being a part of the Jubail Unit of DKSC which has been a very vibrant unit among the units in Dammam zone. Ismail Kinnya, former general secretary of DKSC Central Committee and the present vice president of DKSC Central Committee gave out a detailed account of the successful journey of DKSC for the past decade and explained how DKSC maintains utmost transparency in financial dealings and activities. 

Ummar Haji Puttur, senior vice president of DKSC central committee and Farooque Kanyana, president of Jubail Unit of DKSC spoke briefly and advised the members to work unitedly to achieve the vision of DKSC. Anwar Hussain Goodinabali, present Secretary of Jubail Unit of DKSC presented the report of the annual activities and also compered the programme. Asif Goodinabli, treasurer, presented the annual statement of account. Hassan Mooduthota, general secretary of DKSC central committee narrated the developmental activities going on at Markaz Tha’ aleemul Ihasan, the educational centre sponsored by DKSC. 

Zainuddeen Puttur spoke and explained how Sunni Centre functioned in the initial days to build a sound organization.
 
The following were unanimously elected as the office bearers of the new committee for the year 2009 - 10. Abdul Hameed Aramex supervised the election/selection process.
