New Delhi: No Flu Case in India

NEW DELHI, May 3: The government on Saturday said no case of A(H1N1) flu had been reported from anywhere in the country. The situation was being monitored, an official spokesperson said.

Three passengers who arrived in Delhi and one who came to Hyderabad from the United States were referred to the identified health facility. Samples of those who arrived in Delhi have tested negative for influenza, while the sample taken from the passenger in Hyderabad is under test.

Health screening of passengers coming from the affected countries was continuing at 18 international airports, and close to 34,000 passengers had been screened so far.

As many as 126 doctors and 71 paramedics have been deployed to man 51 counters at the airports in Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Karipur (near Kozhikode), Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Srinagar and Tiruchi
