Udupi: Alarmed by reckless bus driver, police inspector jumps from jeep

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jun 8: The service bus stand here witnessed a curious incident on the evening of Friday, June 7.

A police inspector and the driver who were seated in a jeep, upon seeing that a bus that was erratically driven was menacingly proceeding towards the jeep they were seated in, jumped out of the vehicle to save themselves from the bus, the driver of which seemed to be in a mad rush.

Police inspector Pramod, attached to the Coastal Security Police Force station at Malpe, and jeep driver Ramachandra were seated in a jeep which was stationed in a corner of the service bus stand. They saw that a bus was perilously moving at them at high speed. Fearing for their lives, both jumped out of their jeep to save themselves.

They later filed complaint in the traffic police station here, duly naming driver Yogeendra, of driving the bus at high speed recklessly.

Nomatter what we do,no matyer the amounts of complaints we raise against these private bus drivers and conductors, no matter the monthly phone in, no matter even if God homself comes down, the police haven't been doing anything to stem the arrogance and atrocities of the private bus operators. I sincerely hope thos incident will prompt the police department to act. I wish and pray this happens

There was this old guy riding his scooter at KSR Road. This bus driver was so dangerously behind the old man and honking and intimidating him. Luckily nothing happened to the old man, that too at his age with anxiety ptoblems
Why are bus drivers above the traffic rules? Do they not have humanity in them?
These bus drivers should have their license cancelled immediately. What will happen if you wait for 2 minutes? What will happen if there is a bus in front of you? Because of your arrogance, 50+ people on the bus might die.
This is a serious issue. Hope the government does something about this.

Beautiful explanation of crazy bus driving though...
I have never read drivers driving crazily like this and policemen in jeep jumping out and filing case.
I presume the police man and driver were eating peanuts in the jeep parking it in the service bus stand...

He has been restored as MP though from Waynad ...right ?
As Congress President he only resigned giving the resignation letter to himself.Think he will restore himself. You dont worry.
Now the strain is so much you think / imagine about what the drivers here think ? Please dont. Situation not that bad OK.

I know Yogendra personally and I am a frequent traveller in the said bus.
The reason i am travelling in this bus is because Yogendra is a very careful driver, no unnecessary speeding or overtaking. No shrill horns etc.,
If the police jumped out of their car, did the bus hit their vehicle? or anybody ???

what if it hit to jeep, and what if both of them injure or dead? there is rule for everyone, and they must obey its not about vehicle control its about obeying rules.
