Google to pay $ 12 Billion to Apple to replace Safari search engine?

New York, Jun 14: If there is ever a trouble in understanding the meaning of the word ‘dominance’ it must be noted that it will be synonymous with Google. The search engine has been invincible since the time it was developed. To retain this dominance it was even ready to shell out billions of dollars to Apple.

The Apple Inc, has been a force to reckon in the technology market. Apple technically has Safari as its default browser, in order to get google as the default, the latter had paid Apple a whopping $ 9 billion in the year 2018. To continue with its supremacy, Google will pay $ 12 billion in the year 2019 to Apple.

It might seem as a hefty price to pay for being the default browser, but according to Goldman Sachs analyst, Rod Hall, it barely makes a difference. Establishing itself as the default browser in the several Apple Inc created products, the revenue supposedly generated by Google will be far more than it ends up spending.

In the year 2017, it was reported that Google had paid Apple over $ 3 billion for the search engine spot. After several court findings it was later found that the news was incorrect and only $ 1 billion was in fact the paid amount. Considering the present time now, facts stated by analyst Rod Hall might not be entirely true, since there has been no comment on this by either of these tech giants.
