UAE, May 11: `Beary’ is a Muslim ethnic group originated from the coastal parts of the state of Karnataka in India Bearys Cultural Form (BCF) was formed in the United Arab Emirates under the auspices of Dubai Indian Islamic Centre, UAE  BCF’s main objective is to promote, educate and create social, cultural and educational awareness amongst the Bearys in the UAE & India The BCF conducts regularly cultural, sports, talent search, educational & scholarship activities, Iftar Party, etc every year  Last year, BCF provided scholarship to around 400 students for pursuing their higher education in the field of medicines, engineering, nursing, management, pharmacy, Homeopathy etc

The 7th Annual General Meeting was conducted at the President Hotel Ball Room in Dubai  The under-mentioned Central Executive Committee members were elected

A lot of new members were elected to the Executive Committee for the year 2009-2010 and they showed their immense interest in serving the BCF to the fullest extent 

The old lists of members who have not renewed their membership have been cancelled in this General Body Meeting and a totally NEW LIST OF BCF MEMBERS has been created Bearys in UAE who are interested in joining BCF are requested to get in touch with any of the above members of the Executive Committee or specifically,  Iqbal from Mepha (050-5149106),   Latif Mulky (050-6530518), Haneef Perliya (0502785996), ME Moolur (050-4567862), Tayyeb (0503904416),  KM Ashraf (0505379817),  etc There are 2 categories of membership

• Life Membership (Dhs 500/- for bachelor and Dhs 750/- for family – payable in 2 instalments)
  Normal membership (Dhs 50/- per year for bachelor & Dhs 100/- family per year)
• The above membership fees were approved for BCF members in the last AGM - 2008

The President Dr BK Yusuf and General Secretary Dr Kaup Mohamed conveyed their heart-felt thanks to all the members of the Bearys Cultural Forum for their outstanding contribution for the development of the Bearys The Committee placed on records the sincere contribution by all the sponsors and all the Units (such as Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Rak, Dibba etc) for supporting BCF in all the social and educational activities of the BCF The Outgoing Executive Committee also thanked the Sports Committee, Iftar Committee, Scholarship Committee, Internal Auditor & such other committees for their valuable contribution to the BCF 

The Outgoing Executive Committee also appreciated  Haneef Perliya,  MB Akbar,  Abdul Rehman Kodi, little kids such as son of  KM Ashraf, etc  for their hard work in arranging cultural program for the year 2008-2009 and who have been always ready for any cultural events at all points of time The outgoing Executive Committee also requested all the Bearys to come together and become a part and parcel of the BCF, setting aside all the misunderstandings & arguments and looking into the positive side of the BCF of serving the poor downtrodden boys and girls of the beary community  Dr Yusuf emphasized that all the issues can be understood and addressed only through effective discussion and attendance in the meeting  Dr Kaup stated that the members should always project a positive image of the BCF 

Thanks giving ceremony was conducted whereby Dr Yusuf and Dr Kaup thanked  ME Moolur,  Latif Mulky,  Altaf,  Aboosalih,  Iqbal from Mepha,  AR Beary,  KM Ashraf,  Ashaik Shaikh,  Haneef Kaup,  KS Shekkabba,  Shahda,  Tayyeb,  Hameed from Dibba,  Ibrahim Karnad,  Sajpa,  Abdul Razak from Dewa,  Afeeq,  Nawaz Kotekar,  Ibrahim from Dubal,  Humayun,  KS Sameer,  Habeeb Adoor,  Ashraf Satikar,  Monakka,  Usman Moolur,  Zakir,  Amirruddin, and all other the members etc for their untiring efforts in bringing up the BCF to sky heights.
