Accused arrested for molesting woman at Huda City Metro station


New Delhi, Jun 20 (IANS): The Special Cell of Delhi police on Thursday arrested a 25-year-old man who was wanted in an alleged case of molestation. According to the police, the man had molested a woman at the Huda City Centre Metro Station complex in Gurugram on Tuesday.

The man identified as Dinesh is a resident of Gurugram Sector 57, and had allegedly exposed himself inappropriately in front of a 29-year-old woman while she was walking out of Huda City Centre Metro Station on Tuesday. "

"The accused identified as, Dinesh (25) is a resident Gurugram and a native of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh . He was apprehended on Thursday," said DCP (special cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah.

The 29-year-old Delhi-based interior designer had earlier alleged that a man masturbated on her when she was climbing down an escalator at the Huda City Centre Metro Station complex.

The victim said she had gone to visit a friend in Gurugram on June 14 and the incident happened when she came out of a clothing store on the first floor of the metro station.

"After exiting the store, I felt something was wrong on my back. I turned and realised that a man masturbated on me. I was shocked, scared and traumatised. I confronted him. He flashed at me and said indecent words," the victim alleged.
