Bhopal, Jun 20: After blaming the former BJP government for installing faulty generators and some employees of the power department who allegedly support BJP, officials in the Kamal Nath government have now put the blame on tiny mammals for the frequent powercuts in the state.
As per senior officials at the power department, the bats hanging upside down from electric wires are the main cause behind power supply failures. However, the power minister Priyavrat Singh said that he does not believe it completely and asked a technical team to examine transformers.
Since several months, Madhya Pradesh has been suffering from rampant powercuts. The scorching temperature has made it very difficult for people to survive without electricity.
In MP, areas including Anand Nagar, Nizamuddin colony, Govindpura, Karond, Subhash Colony, Ayodhya Nagar, Patel Nagar and many others are facing these powercuts on regular basis. These areas register load shedding up to three four hours daily.
