Kota, Jun 21: Police have stated that a 12-year-old boy lost his life at his home in Kota while allegedly making a Tik Tok video. The boy named Kaushal, belonging to grade 6, was found on Tuesday, in the bathroom of his house hanging with iron chains around his neck.

Kaushal’s family on finding his body saw that the boy was wearing a ‘mangal sutra’ around his neck and bangles on his hands. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

A case has been registered by the police under Section 174 of CrPC, which is unnatural death and investigations are ongoing. The parents told the police of the boy’s fondness towards video games and that he had downloaded the Tik Tok mobile app.

Kaushal’s father was quoted by an officer as telling the police, “Kaushal would mostly use the mobile to play games. He was fond of making Tik Tok videos and must have killed himself trying to make one.”

A police officer said, “Kaushal’s parents believe that the boy perhaps got accidentally killed while preparing to make a video in Tik Tok mobile app.” However, the officer added that the actual reason of death could only be confirmed based on the post mortem report and complete investigation.
