18 cases filed in uploading of women's phone numbers: Minister


New Delhi, Jun 26 (IANS): The Delhi Police has registered 18 cases in which photos and mobile numbers of women were uploaded on social media platforms to harass them, the parliament was informed on Tuesday.

In a written reply to a question, Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy Reddy added that up to May 31 this year, two such cases were registered.

"Delhi Police registers all cognizable complaints with an objective that no crime, especially crime against the vulnerable groups including women and girls, goes unreported and action in all such cases is taken as per provisions of law," he said.
