George R.R. Martin finds 'Chernobyl' terrific

Los Angeles, Jun 26 (IANS): Author George R.R. Martin, whose series of epic fantasy novels "A Song of Ice and Fire" was adapted into "Game of Thrones", is moved by "Chernobyl".

"Binge-watched HBO's 'Chernobyl'. Terrifying, exciting, heartbreaking. If this one does not win a truckload of Emmys, there is no justice in Hollywood. And a special shout out to the talented Jared Harris for his amazing performance," Martin posted on Twitter.

"Chernobyl" dramatises the story of the 1986 nuclear accident, one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history, and the cleanup efforts that followed.

Apart from Harris, it has Stellan Skarsgård, Emily Watson and Paul Ritter leading the cast.
