Bahrain: Dakshina Kannada Sunni Centre Organizes Free Medical Camp

Bahrain, May 18: The committee of Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Centre-Bahrain (DKSC) organized medical camp for their members and labour camp workers on Friday May 15 at Al Hilal Hospital. Around 350 persons availed the free medical treatment on this occasion.
Jmaluddin Vittal, president of DKSC welcomed the gathering and with a short prayer the medical camp was inaugurated by Dr Sai Giridhar, CEO of Al Hilal Hospital and later he was presented with a memento.
DKSC, an Islamic organization was founded in 1995 in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, when a few like-minded Sunnis came together with common objectives.
In the developing stages DKSC engaged itself in presenting various education institutions in Dakshina Kannada that are beacon of knowledge, resort for orphans and destitute children of the society.
To realize the objective of DKSC they started many institutions such as educational camps of Markaz. DKSC also started Al-Ihsan Yateem Khana for the orphan children, where 58 children are sheltered at the moment. Al-Ihsan boarding Madarasa system acts as a guide to those who move away from humanity by not having spiritual education. Primary and secondary Madarasa also were started to impart the basic Islamic knowledge to the children. Masjid Al-Ansar, a well-established mosque built in July 2003 at Ullal in Dakshina Kannada, Al-Ihsan library, an established spot for books in English, Arabic, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. Al-Ihsan Computer Education (AICE) institute, Al-Ishan Sheriyati College were also established in Dakshina Kannada in the subsequent years.
In Bahrain M Abdul Razak B A founded DKSC in the year 2002 with mere13 founding members. Today the organization has grown in leaps and bounds and it boasts up having 500 members with their families. Their noble objectives are supporting the needy people in Bahrain as well as the poor families in Dakshina Kannada, also making arrangements to for the marriage of Muslim girls, lending help to construct new houses for poor people, arranging free medical camps for labourers irrespective of any cast and creed.
