Fire destroys documents at Noida Authority office


Noida, Jun 27 (IANS): Several important documents stored inside the building of Noida Authority were reduced to ashes after a fire broke out at the Authority's office on Wednesday morning, the police said on Wednesday.

The fire department said it received a call around 10 a.m. informing it about the fire after which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

"The fire took place inside the office of an assistant manager and the Traffic Cell office. The office of the Work Circle 10 and Noida traffic cell were engulfed. It took around two hours for the fire team to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to me known," said a senior fire official.

The police said some documents at the office of an assistant manager have been burnt, while all records in Traffic Cell are safe.
