Hospital restricts cellphones as TikTok videos go viral

Bhubaneswar, Jul 2 (IANS): The administration of Odisha's Malkangiri district headquarters hospital has prohibited the use of cellphones in sensitive and critical units of the hospital after TikTok videos featuring some nurses went viral on social media.

Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Ajit Kumar Mohanty said on Tuesday that the entry of mobile phones has been restricted into sensitive and critical care units like Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), Operation Theatre (OT) and labour room.

Multiple TikTok videos of four nurses dancing in Malkangiri district headquarters hospital (DHH) have gone viral. In the videos, the nurses were found dancing inside the SNCU of the hospital.
