Hassan: Man deemed dead reappears after post-funeral ceremonies

Daijiworld Media Network - Hassan (SP)

Hassan, Jul 3: A person who his family thought had died, was found to be alive after the family members grieved over his death, performed his funeral and arranged post-funeral ceremonies including community lunch to bless his departed soul.

This incident happened in Shankha village in the district. Everyone was surprised and shocked when the person returned home alive. The identity of the man has been given as Shivanna, a native of Shankha village near the town.

Shivanna, who had fought with his wife three weeks back, had left his home in a huff, not to be seen again. His wife, Deepa, had filed missing complaint in the town police station here. After a few days, Deepa got a call from the police to inform her that a lifeless body had been recovered near the new bus stand in the town and that the features of the body match with the ones explained in her complaint.

Deepa went there and initially refused to believe that the body was of her husband as the clothes on the body were different. However, as the face section of the body was completely decomposed, she thought it could be her husband's. The body was taken home, and funeral was performed with the coming together of family and friends. The family spent on organizing post-funeral rituals and functions praying for Shivanna's soul to rest in peace.

Thereafter, the family came to know that Shivanna was found in the home of a relative at Bengaluru. His relatives went there and brought him back home on Sunday. Shivanna who reached his home, came face to face with his own framed portrait duly garlanded to signify that he was no more. He said he went way as he felt frustrated, and wanted to spend a few days elsewhere away from his home.

Whose body is that found in decomposed stage ?
No one reported as missing person nor approached police to claim the dead body. Mysterious indeed !
Sometimes, humans are dying worse than a dogs death.

Well happy ending for both ...
Unclaimed body got a proper funeral. and a fresh lease of life for Shivanna and his family..
But Shivanna must be wishing her wife should have recognised that the body was not her husband's, even if it was decomposed.

When woman in grief she cannot able to identify in decomposed state.
Different opinion come from all the end. She even refused that not the same. In tragedy many times people take a different body of other religion people and conduct last rites. On the day of judgementt even god will be also in dismay. Kissiko uthana tha neend se..koi aur uta gaya.
