Bengaluru: Congress faces trouble - Three more MLAs in line to resign?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 3: The disgruntled Congress MLAs, who were lying low for quite some time, have suddenly emerged out of their shells. Two legislators, Anand Singh and Ramesh Jarkiholi, have already resigned. There are rumours that three more will leave their assembly memberships today. So far there is no clue what plans these two legislators have up their sleeves. Will they join some other party or will move away from politics are the questions one hears frequently. Some say that answers to these questions would be out today.

Sources say that after three legislators resign on Wednesday, two more will follow suit on Thursday. Those legislators who are rumoured to be preparing to resign today are B C Patil (Hirekerur), Ramesh Jarkiholi's confidante, Mahesh Kumathalli (Athani), and Shrimant Patil (Kagawad). One guess is that the MLAs are resigning after matching the timings of resignations with their horoscopes.

It is said that even Ballari (rural) MLA, B Nagendra, and Maski MLA, Pratap Gowda Patil, might leave their posts. If all these MLAs resign, their total number will total up to seven. The Congress leaders have claimed several times that they have some BJP MLAs in their grip and that they can engineer reverse flow of MLAs. If this claim is true, people would be eager to know which of the BJP MLAs will leave their posts and embrace the Congress.

Siddaramaiah has already said that resignations do not have any effect on the coalition government. He has noted that Anand Singh happens to be the only MLA to resign till now, and that the speaker will take a call on this resignation. He said that he is unable to contact Anand Singh and Ramesh Jarkiholi, adding that even if they leave, the government will not suffer.

Ramesh Jarkiholi and Satish Jarkiholi brothers had a strong bond till recently. Minister Satish Jarkiholi, has shown enmity towards his brother by putting pressure on the Congress to expel Ramesh from the party. He has begun to put this pressure after coming to know that Ramesh has resigned from his assembly membership.

It is said that Ramesh Jarkiholi sent his resignation by fax, which the assembly speaker has refused to accept as official. Therefore, none of the Congress leaders are acknowledging that Ramesh has tendered his resignation.

I too was a Cong Karyakarta and worked day and night for our candidate (I wont name him, sorry ) in the 2018 RS elections. Door to door canvassing , pamphlets , organizing workers and parishers etc . We would leave early morning at 8 AM so we could the family before they left for work. Sometimes late into nights without meals . Funds , nothing it was just from our pockets , Our Candidate too emptied his coffers. With all these efforts, eventually we won. Praise the lord. God almighty had smiled and paid for our great efforts. Eventually when the coalition was announced all of us were doomed. Our candidate was sidelined to make way for a JDS individual. In fact JDS had lost their deposit in our constituency. It was all as per Siddaramiahs orders, we were told. Now why should we support Congress. ?

All those who resign their memberships after an election are betraying their constituencies and the people. A list of all such MLA's should be prepared and people of Karnataka should totally boycott them in all future elections. They should be blacklisted in Politics.

    What is betraying???

Siddu was in JDS and enjoyed the power there and was abusing Congress
He betrayed JDS and joined Congress
he did padayathra from Bangalore to Bellary, and made sure that Params defeat in election to be come CM (betrayed Param then KPCC President)
after becoming CM he planned to gift land to Jindala for which he did padayatra in oppose - thats betraying people
same time Kumara opposed land deal as he was enemy of Siddu in Politics
in last election congress told JDS is B team of BJP
After election Congress did allience with JDS (B Team of BJP) this is betraying of people who believed congress that JDS is B team of BJP.
Siddu is praising same JDS which he was there before and left to join congress and was abusing them.
Kumara became CM and planned to gift 3000 acre to Jindal which he was opposing when Congress was in Power - This is betraying of People

i hope betraying meaning is clear

Congress party is in disintegration stage.
Party head is in a confused mode and how the party can sustain without a right leader ?
Congress was a leading party politically in the fast.
Presently it is losing ground and popularity under Sonia/Rahul's leadership.
Given few more years the party will be wiped out from the political map.

Dear Siddu,, Please for gods sake. Just move out of the coalition before being humiliated. At least you will salvage some pride and people may forgive you. YOu may have a second chance. If not its as good as being booted out. BJP will sweep the polls.
