Mangaluru, Jul 6: Dr Vaishali Rai, assistant professor in the department of Microbiology, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), has been awarded with research grant of Rs 5 lac by the Vision Group for Science and Technology, government of Karnataka.

The research grant was awarded under Research Grant for Scientist Faculty (RGS/F).

The synopsis of the research proposal submitted by Dr Vaishali Rai is ‘Isolation and Characterization of Pigment producing Bacteria - An Invitro Study’.
