Karkala: Nitte students attend Sakura Exchange Programme

Karkala, Jul 6: ‘Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Programme in Science’ (SAKURA Exchange Programme in Science) is a programme for enhancing knowledge exchanges between the youth of Asia and Japan who play a crucial role in the field of science and technology through the close collaboration of industry-academia-government by facilitating short-term visits of competent Asian youth to Japan.

The programme is a scholarship program for undergraduate/graduate students /postdoctoral researchers sponsored by Japan Science and Technology (JST). NMAMIT had received an invite from Ritsumeikan University to send representatives to SAKURA Exchange Programme in Science 2019.

A team from NMAMIT comprising of one faculty and 10 undergraduate students from various undergraduate programs are participating in SAKURA student exchange programme under the theme ‘Water and Waste Management’ during the period from July 7 to 13, at Ritsumeikan University, Japan.
