Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College hosts alumni meet

Mangaluru, Jul 6: To reminisce about good memories of college life, St Agnes PU College under the aegis of ‘Agnosphere’- an association of Alumni organised alumni meet on July 6, in the college auditorium. The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings through a visual prayer song. Sr NorineDSouza, principal of St Agnes PU College warmly welcomed the former Agnesians.

Proud alumna of the 2005 batch, Vathika Pai, a young entrepreneur, owner of Vathika International Travels, presided over the function. In her presidential address, she thanked the management for providing a platform for holistic development of every individual studying here. Her message to all former Agnesians was to never give up their dreams.

In the felicitation programme for the alumni achievers, Dr Hafsa Eram, currently pursuing MD in dermatology was felicitated by Dr P V Shobha, CA Sanchitha Kamath was felicitated by Pragati, Meghana Ballal, advocate was felicitated by Namitha for their remarkable achievement. Jeswita Quadros, who has represented India at the 11th International Forum Post Syndol Meet in June 2019 was felicitated by Supriya.

Vice principal Janet Sequeira, co-convenor of the programme Venitia Rasquinha, and alumni-core committee member Divyanjalin, were also present on the occasion. There was a short entertainment programme by both the present students as well as the Alumni. The programme was compered by Mansi Lisha Pinto.

The alumni were grateful to their alma mater for organising the meet. The evening closed with a vote of thanks rendered by Chris Miranda. The programme was concluded with a mass dance which helped revive happy memories and the alumni returned home with a feeling of nostalgia.
