Patna, Jul 11 (IANS): Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday said that there should be a rule of having only two children in the country and those who violate it, should be debarred from the right to vote.

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MP from Bihar Begusarai constituency expressed his concern over the increasing population of the country and stressed the need for population control on World Population Day.

Without directly naming any religion or community, Singh said the rising population is posing threats to resources and harmony.

"A strict law should be made to control population. There is a need to raise the issue in Parliament."

Singh pointed out that even Islamic countries are trying for population control. "But in India, measures to control population is being a link to the religion."

Three years ago, Singh had demanded urgent need to make laws for 'nasbandi' (sterilization) in the country.

I also ask that many other countries start special prayer meetings for the rest of the month like Latin America started with the prayer vigils and America started with the 33-Day Consecration. You are holding your own and not going downhill in the prayers for the world right now.

    I am very happy with some of the states in America that are passing laws against abortion. My Son has told you that natural disasters will continue all over the world if abortion is not stopped soon. The states and areas in the world that are sinning the most that do not want to change will be hit the hardest by natural disasters and the plagues and sicknesses of many kinds. Storms and disasters come from sins of the flesh. If everyone stopped the sins of the flesh and started living God the Father’s Ten Commandments, the world would have peace again. If you do not stop all the sins of the flesh, you will continue to suffer greatly and lose everything you’ve got physically, and also many will lose their souls. This is the last generation, My son, that God the Father will put up with abortion, same sex marriages, and all the sins of the flesh. Love, the Mother of God and of all Our Children.

    This is your last chance to stop evil in America and all the world or you will hit bottom with nothing left. Prepare for a shortage of food if abortion is not stopped.

    population is the biggest threat ,india is facing.
    But its a very emotional issue for the indians.
    All sorts of religious people oppose it.
    But its a fact that ,due to over population, per capita share of even water had decreased considerably.
    No political party has the guts to face the issue.

    In the south of India, a majority of the couples now do not have more than two children.

    But north is the problem.

    The number of children per family seems to be proportionate to the educational level of the people.

    Fast-tracking better education to people from the BIMARU-Guj belt might give some hope to India..

    ...otherwise the whole country is doomed.

    Some other Right wing activist also proposed that every Hindu family should produce minimum 5 children to keep phase with rapidly increasing population of minority community.
    Let him be Minister of Animal Husbandry or any other portfolio but birth control is a must.
    Act before it is too late. There are lots of problems in India because of exploding population growth and all the efforts to improve quality of life, unemployment etc.
