Dr Ratnakar, Popular Homeopathy Practitioner, Breathes his Last

Mumbai, May 29:
Dr Ratnakar, a popular Mangalorean homeopathic practitioner of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Colony at the suburban Borivali (West) here, breathed his last on Monday May 25.  He had attended the funeral of veteran Kannadiga journalist late K R Venugopal here a week ago, and developed health complications later.
 


Dr Ratnakar, who hailed from Mulihitlu, Bolar, in Mangalore city, earned a homeopathic degree while working with LIC, six decades ago.  He was a humane homeopathic doctor who extended free treatment to all those patients who came from a poor financial background.
 
He was actively involved with the social activities of Thiya community that he belonged to.  Dr Ratnakar had contributed several of his articles to Thiya Jyoti, a bulletin of Thiya community in the metro.  He is survived by his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law, grand children and well wishers.
