Muzzaffarnagar, Jul 15: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has decided to offer a golden crown weighing 2.5 kg to a 75-feet-tall statue of Lord Hanuman located in Shukratal of Muzzaffarnagar district.
Adityanath was visiting Shukratal to attend an event to mark the death anniversary of Swami Kalyan Dev. Several development schemes worth Rs 10 crore have been carried out in the area under the guidance of Adityanath.

In the past, Adityanath had created a lot of unrest among the people when he had referred to Lord Hanuman as a Dalit during an election rally ahead of the state polls in Rajasthan.
In his statement he said, "Lord Hanuman was a forest dweller, deprived and a Dalit. Bajrang Bali worked to connect all Indian communities together, from north to south and east to west."
