Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh), Jul 16: An incident took place on Monday where a woman died during a tussle with another woman over filling water from a public tap.
The mishap took place in Sompeta of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh. The victim of the incident has been identified as Tatipudi Padma (38), resident of Palli Veedhi in Sompeta.
While fetching water from the tap, Padma got into a fight with another woman called, Teppala Sundaramma. The fight intensified over standing in the queue for fetching the water and the ladies ended up bashing each other with the vessels they were carrying. Padma, ended up with injuries to chest and head, causing her to slip down the road and die on the spot.
The women were standing in queue in front of a public tap installed at a nearby school. The situation worsened within few moments. The casualty that took place triggered a case against Sundaramma. The police officials have already carried out a probe in this matter.
