New Delhi, Jul 16: On Saturday night, a 19-year-old teen was stabbed to death for urinating in public. The incident took place in Delhi's Tilak Nagar.
The victim has been identified as Ankit, who had been to a local mobile shop to collect his mobile phone which he had given for repair. On his way back, he felt the need to urinate and considered doing the deed out in the open.
The accused in this regard, Ravi, called Ankit out for his behaviour which then later progressed into a brawl. Soon after, friends of the accused joined in and allegedly stabbed Ankit.

In a comment regarding the matter, a police officer said, "The house of the accused was a few steps away from the place where Ankit urinated. The accused also places a stall in the same area. He has been arrested. We are also verifying the role of his friends in this matter."
The brother of the victim stated that he approached the police and gave an account of what he witnessed that night. After noticing the long absence of his sibling, Ankit's brother ventured out to look for him. He ended up getting paranoid when he could not find him anywhere in the locality. Later that night, he found a crowd concentrated at one particular area. He rushed to the scene only to find a person stabbing his younger brother repeatedly. Following the incident, Ankit was admitted to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
A case has been registered and probe is being carried out in this matter.
