Soldier slips to death near LoC In Kupwara district

Srinagar, Jul 17 (IANS): An Army soldier on Tuesday slipped to his death near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Defence sources said Naik Ramandeep Singh slipped into a gorge during patrolling in Pharkiyan Gali area of the LoC around 5 p.m. today.

"The injured soldier was shifted to a nearby medical facility where doctors said he was dead on arrival", a defence source said.
