Udupi, Jul 17: The investiture ceremony of the Students’ Welfare Council (SWC) of Milagres College, Kallianpur was recently held here.

Investiture officer, Dr Alwyn D’Sa, associate professor of English and controller of Examinations, St Aloysius College, here inaugurated the council.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “Leadership is not about having a certain number of followers, but is about how many leaders one has created as a leader.” He asked the newly nominated office bearers to 'make this SWC of 2019-20 unique by organising such programmes and activities for everyone to recall the council at all times.”

Principal, Dr Vincent Alva administered the oath of office to the new office bearers.

The annual college magazine was released on the occasion. Correspondent of Milagres Institutions, Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza presided over the programme. Dr Herald Monis, director, Students’ Welfare Council welcomed the gathering.

Prof Chandrika, co-director of SWC was present on the dais. General secretary of SWC, Surakshitha proposed the vote of thanks. Brenda and Jestin Cardoza compered the programme.
