Jharkhand, Jul 18: On Wednesday, an ox got killed in a road accident and a group of women blamed the driver for the mishap. The women belong to Bagnal village here, rather than nabbing the guilty, the women believed that the Massanjore police station in charge helped the guilty escape.

Further, a preliminary investigation was held in this regard, in which the station in charge stated that the accident occurred while he was on his way to the police station. The accident was quite fatal as it caused the death of the ox. Assessing the situation, he spotted a group of women screaming and approached them but as soon as he did, the driver fled the scene.

The women who were present at the moment blamed the station in charge for the escape of the guilty driver and began thrashing the station in charge. SP of Dumka, Y S Ramesh, has already taken into account what happened and sent over a report to DSP and SDPO.

An inquiry is to be conducted soon and strict action against the guilty driver is to be carried out. Meanwhile, the vehicle and driver have been already taken into custody.
