Bengaluru, Jul 23: Assembly speaker, Ramesh Kumar, has served notices to all the 15 legislators who have tendered resignations, asking them to appear before him before 11 am on Tuesday, July 23. 

In the meanwhile, minister, D K Shivakumar, speaking to media persons, said that the Speaker has served notices under schedule 10 of the constitution as per which he has the right to issue such notices. He also warned the dissident legislators who he said are enticed by the offer to become ministers, that they would be losing membership of the assembly under article 164 (i) (3) of the constitution. 

The behaviour of some of the legislators, particularly belonging to the coalition partners on Monday during the assembly proceedings left much to be desired. Leader of the house, H D Kumaraswamy, and leader of the Congress legislature party, Siddaramaiah had, on Friday, sought time till Monday to complete the remaining debate on trust vote and then seek trust vote. During the period the session was shortly adjourned at the insistence of legislators from the Congress and the JD(S), Yeddyurappa raised objections and urged the Speaker to move the trust vote. At that time, several JD(S) and Congress legislators stood up, obstructed him from speaking, and raised slogans. 

Even after the Speaker asked them to return to their seats, these legislators continued to shout slogans. Ramesh Kumar then asked the chief minister to regulate his MLAs and ask them to return to their seats. He sternly advised Kumaraswamy not to disrespect the constitution. When the legislators continued to raise a din, Siddaramaiah intervened and pacified them.
