Srinagar, Jul 24 (IANS): In a bid to identify the terror funding route in the Kashmir Valley, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday carried out raids at six locations in Jammu and Kashmir including the premises of two traders involved in cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade.

Senior NIA officials said that it raided the residence of Tanveer Ahmad Wani in Pulwama's Achgoza area. The NIA officials said Tanveer is the President of Cross-LOC Traders Association.

According to police sources, the agency also carried out raids at the residential premises of Ghulam Ahmad Wani in Keller area of Pulwama district. Sources said Wani was involved in cross-LoC trade before its suspension by authorities on February 14, 2019.

The probe agency said that the connected persons in the case are being questioned.

The raids were also carried in the Safakadal, Bemina and Parimpora fruit markets in Srinagar. The raids are part of the ongoing NIA investigation against suspected terror funding.

A prominent Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali, and several separatist leaders have already been arrested by NIA so far.
