Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 24: ‘Youth Day’ was celebrated on Wednesday July 24 at the conference hall.

Fr Joseph Martis, from St Joseph’s Seminary graced the occasion and unveiled the logo ‘Year of Youth – 2019’.

Fr Martis gave his valuable insights on the Post Synodal Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis ‘ChristusVivit’ – Christ is alive and emphasized the views of Pope Francis that young people’s contribution to society is very important as they are very creative and practical.

Fr Martis invited the youth to encounter and have a close friendship with Jesus as everything Jesus touches becomes young, new and full of life. He gave a broad understanding of different vocations as a call from God as well as urged that one’s vocation is not the work that one does, but it is the effort put in to serve others.

The principal, Sr Norine D'Souza AC introduced Fr Joseph Martis to the students.

The occasion was compered by Alreya Patrao, while Erica Lobo delivered the vote of thanks.
