Dubai, Jul 24: In a report by Johnson and Johnson, Rashid Hospital was ranked among the top 10 health facilities across Middle East, Europe and North Africa. It was noted for providing specialized orthopedic and trauma surgery treatments.
The ranking for the hospital was given as a result of the several successful surgeries it carried out over a period of time. The annual number of surgeries have accounted to 6,000 bone and fracture surgeries. The international accreditation gained by Rashid Hospital’s Orthopedic and Trauma Department is also for the exceptional services it provided.
Dr Fahad Baslaib, CEO of Rashid Hospital, stated that he was extremely proud of achieving the incredible feat. This accreditation has highlighted the competitiveness of Dubai's healthcare system and now will get recognized on a global level.
Dr Basalib stressed that this was possible because the hospital aimed at developing its health facilities to be at par with international standards in terms of infrastructure, specialized physicians, smart technologies and adoption of international practices.
Dr Bilal Al Yafawi, head of Orthopaedics and Trauma department at Rashid Hospital, considers this to be an incentive to excel and provide quality services. He also stated that the basis for the recognition were the aspects considered by evaluators from the company, who visited the department and witnessed the quality services provided and the successful surgeries conducted including rare and complicated surgeries.
