Army divers fish out boy's body from Jhelum river

Srinagar, Jul 25 (IANS): A team of expert divers from the Army on Thursday fished out the body of a boy who had drowned in the Jhelum river.

Two brothers, 15-year-old Muhammad Shafi and eight-year-old Muhammad Kafeel, had gone missing in the Jhelum river on Wednesday, police said.

"Help was sought from the Army who deployed expert divers to trace the missing siblings. Timely rescue saved Muhammad Kafeel from drowning but the body of Muhammad Shafi was recovered only today after a whole day's rescue efforts," police said.
