MS Dhoni to patrol Kashmir Valley

New Delhi, Jul 25: India's former cricket captain M S Dhoni, who has been accorded the rank of honorary Lieutenant Colonel in Territorial Army will soon patrol the hills of Kashmir valley.

According to reports, he will be proceeding to 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para) and will be taking up duties from July 31 to August 15.

The unit in Kashmir is part of the Victor Force. Dhoni's duties will require him to do patrolling, guard and post duty and also stay with the troops.

On July 24, Dhoni joined the battalion, which has its headquarters in Bengaluru. He has begun his two-month training with Indian Army's Parachute Regiment.

Earlier, the veteran wicket keeper-batsman had made himself unavailable for the West Indies tour where India will be playing three T20Is, three ODIs and two Test matches beginning August 3.
