New Delhi, Jul 25 (IANS): The government-backed Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) here on Thursday said it would promote adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Noida.
Accordingly, the EESL, a joint venture of public sector undertakings (PSUs) under the Ministry of Power, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) to promote electric vehicles and install around 100 public charging stations.
"The MoU will fast track adoption of e-mobility in Noida by promoting robust EV infrastructure," the company said in a statement.
"EESL will make the entire upfront investment on services pertaining to the MoU along with the operation and maintenance of public charging infrastructure by qualified manpower," it said.
The authority would be providing space and power connection for the charging infrastructure.
