UAE: Federal Authority issues emirates Id warning

Abu Dhabi, Jul 27: The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship on Thursday, through a tweet, warned UAE residents to be careful of fraudsters.

The department warned residents to never share their personal or banking details by phone, adding that the authority never collects such data by phone or email. The Federal Authority through its official Twitter account said, "The authority does not use telephone or email to record or update individuals' data. Avoid disclosing or sharing your data by email or phone, especially those related to your bank accounts or personal information."

Residents can reach the department at 600530003 or via its social media accounts, the tweet said.
