Ready to go to jail for protecting Article 35A: Mehbooba

Srinagar, Jul 28 (IANS): Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti, on Sunday said she is ready to go to jail for protecting Article 35A which talks about Jammu and Kashmir's special status.

Addressing party workers on PDP's foundation day, Mufti said: "Anybody trying to fiddle with Article 35A would be playing with dynamite. It would have such disastrous consequences that nobody would be able to control."

She said her party would stand like a rock for the protection of state's special status and that she was ready to go to jail while protecting the same.

Mufti also criticized former Chief Minister and Vice President of the National Conference (NC), Omar Abdullah, for saying that the decision of the Supreme Court on Article 35A would be accepted by the NC.

"No tinkering of any sort by anybody with Article 35A would be acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir," she asserted.

Article 35A which talks about J&K special status is history. But PM Modi's nationalist government is creating new Kashmir in 'Nagaland' by signing Naga accord with terror outfit Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah).

As per the new deal drafted by Jagdamba Mall, a known face of the RSS in the Northeast, who has also been instrumental in BJP’s electoral inroads into the region and signed in Singapore agreed to Nagaland having a separate constitution, flag, currency and membership of the United Nation.

Two other important segments of the draft, which, however, doesn’t mention a separate flag or passport, as has been speculated in a section of media, including rehabilitation of the “Naga Army” and a “ten-year time-framed economic package” of the central government for Nagaland.

It says, “All the top-ranking leaders of all Naga militant organisations will be honoured by giving them the equivalent ranks/spots as governors, ambassadors, officials in the Army and other security forces provided they have requisite academic qualifications, sound health and above all, a will to serve the nation as a dignified soldier/central government officers.”

“A Naga regiment shall be created to absorb the young surrenderers (sic).” Those who surrender would be paid an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each besides the “general amnesty amount of Rs 5 lakh”.

The economic package suggested in the “draft” comprises Rs 1 lakh crore meant “for industrialization and overall development of the existing Nagaland”.

The BJP-RSS members who shout high pitch slogan of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and against 'Thukde- Thukde' gang, now the sovereign state of India to be separate nation just 'Pakistani occupied 'Azad-Kashmir'. Unlike POK, Nagas will have more privilege than the rest of India.

Will this not have consequences in other parts of the country like Jammu and Kashmir, where a secessionist war is raging & in states like Tamil Nadu where regional nationalism is very strong.

    People,

Pre-requisite for achieving peace in Kashmir is sending Mehbooba and Farooq/Omar to Pakistan...not to Jail,,,,,

I am surprised Modi / Shah has not taken any tough actions against them so far....shwing weakness will definitely encourage terrrorist's and their sympathizers in Kashmir Valley....

    ...Tak..Takk...
