Pakistan violates ceasefire on LoC in Kupwara


Srinagar, Jul 30 (IANS): The Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged fire on the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday in the Kupwara district after Pakistan violated the bilateral ceasefire.

Defence sources said the Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked firing on the Indian positions in the Tangdhar sector of the Kupwara district.

"The ceasefire violation by Pakistan started around 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian positions are retaliating befittingly", Defence sources said.
