Bengaluru, Aug 1: The demise of Cafe Coffee Day founder, V G Siddhartha Hegde, has taken political hue with some political leaders trying to place the blame on others for this tragic incident.
Congress MP, Manish Tiwari, has served a notice expressing his intention to move a call attention motion in the Lok Sabha. He wants this issue to be discussed in the Lok Sabha.
At the same time, speaking at New Delhi, Congress leader, B K Hariprasad, said that Siddhartha lost his life on account of the harassment at the hands of tax authorities. He blamed BJP for this death, adding that unlike many other businessmen, Siddhartha had not indulged in cheating.

Rajya Sabha member, Rajiv Chandrashekhar, commented that Congress has been unnecessarity trying to create controversy on this issue.
West Bengal chief minister, Mamata Banerjee, said that she had just heard about the harassment meted out to business tycoons in the country and said that the fact that others too face this harassment has been proved by the letter addressed by Siddhartha. She said that even the opposition is not in a position to question the government on this issue because of feat of political vendetta.
Entrepreneur, Anand Mahindra, in a tweet, said that this incident is a warning bell for all the businessmen in the country. He has advised the entrepreneurs never to allow their enthusiasm to die down.
In the meanwhile, Cafe Coffee Day shares continued their downward slide on Wednesday, recording a 20 percent slump.
