Man gives triple talaq to wife on road in UP

Moradabad, Aug 1 (IANS): On a day when the country was celebrating the law against triple talaq, a man in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh announced triple talaq to his wife on a road after he got into an altercation with his wife.

A video surfaced on the social media on Wednesday in which the man can be seen fighting with his wife's brother. Details of the reason behind the fight were not known.

In the video, the woman can be heard saying that she had earlier approached the police and complained against her husband.

Police officials said that they were trying to ascertain the identity of the couple and the truth behind the incident.

Parliament on Tuesday approved a bill outlawing the centuries-old right of a Muslim man to instantly divorce his wife.

    There might be a big reason behind it. If the wife is not happy with her husband none can force her to stay with him. As per sharia law, she has the right to get away from her husband. such things are happenings due to no knowledge of sharia. Her husband is also a stupid guy. If he is not happy with his wife, he should have divorced her accordign to law. However, he could have deserted her and let her live in the street like our chowkidar. Leaving wife in a as per law is illegal in India whereas deserting wife and kicking her out of house is allowed. A man can enjoy outside women deserting his wife is ok in india whereas deserted wife should live in pathetic way as she cannot re marry.

    Dear Henry, i fully agree with you. Any husband who divorces his wife as triple talaq should be jailed for 30 years not 3 years. This is a highest crime in India. However, any one kicking out his wife and let us on the alms of public should be awarded. divorcing wife legally is crime but forcing her out of home and not caring her is a respectable and acceptable act in India. Really india a very much great. Killing people in the name of God and religion is permissible but arresting and punishing the murders is illegal and undemocratic. According to RSS Chief mob lynching is legal and there shuld not be any law agaisnt mob lynching and this is the reason our Central Govt is not interested in bringing a bill in parliament on mob lynching. Mob lynching has started in india sicne last three years and credit goes to one and only BJP.
