Moin Qureshi case: Aide's ED custody extended

New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS): A special court here on Thursday extended, till August 9, Hyderabad-based businessman Satish Sana Babu's ED custody in a money-laundering probe involving controversial meat exporter Moin Qureshi.

The court had on Saturday sent the businessman, a close aide of the meat exporter, to five days custody of the Enforcement Directorate.

The Enforcement Directorate had on Saturday said it has arrested Sana in connection with the Qureshi case.

Sana's role came to light late last year after he gave statement accusing senior Central Bureau of Investigation officials of taking bribe in lieu for help in a corruption case.

Sana's allegations came during the infighting between then CBI Director Alok Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana.
