Indian national arrested with fake documents in Pak

Islamabad, Aug 2 (IANS): Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said it has arrested an Indian national who had been living in Pakistan Punjab province's Gujranwala city on fake passport and documents for the last 10 years, the media reported.

The agency also registered a case against a local who gave shelter to Indian national Panjam Tiwari, Dawn newspaper reported on Friday.

FIA Deputy Director Amir Nawaz told the daily that Tiwari had gone to Dubai for work in 2009 and there he met Kamran, a resident of Gujranwala.

Both men became business partners in Dubai and after some time Kamran brought Tiwari to Pakistan on a fake passport. Tiwari then tied the knot with Kamran's sister Rukhsana and embraced Islam, changing his name as Bilal, the report said.

He also made fake documents (birth certificate, Computerized National Identity Card, marriage deed etc) and started living in Pakistan, said the FIA official.

The daily reported that FIA Assistant Director Ahmer Sandhu, along with Inspector Naveed Ahmed and Sub-Inspector Shahzaib, raided a house at Mominabad and arrested Tiwari.
